An investigation is underway after gunshots were heard near a property associated with the Head Hunters in Auckland early this morning.
Police were called to the Marua Rd area in Mt Wellington at around 1.20am after receiving reports about a person “hearing potential gunshots”.
Police found several casings on the road near Burt Rd, which were all seized.
No injuries or damage were reported in the area.
“Police are aware that this discovery is near the property associated with the Head Hunters motorcycle gang,” Detective Senior Sergeant Anthony Darvill said.
“This will form part of our wider inquiries as we work to establish who is responsible.”
Following the incident, police found a stolen vehicle that had been abandoned in the surrounding area on Faber Ave.
“Inquiries are ongoing to establish whether this vehicle is involved in the incident,” Darvill said.
