A woman has been charged with manslaughter and driving offences after a crash which resulted in the death of a young girl who was riding her bike in Hawke’s Bay.
Emma Jane Kupa, 11, of Flaxmere died at the scene after being hit on Chatham Rd on January 30.
Today, police said a 34-year-old woman has now been charged with manslaughter, driving with a breath alcohol level over 400, dangerous driving and failing to stop to ascertain injury.
She is due to appear in Hastings District Court today, police said.
