One person has died after a crash in Tokoroa overnight, police say.
Police said it was alerted to the crash at about 12am, which involved a vehicle and pedestrian on Lomond Avenue.
“Despite best efforts of emergency services, one person died at the scene.
“The Serious Crash Unit has conducted a scene examination.”
Police said the road was closed for a period of time, but is now open as of early this morning.
“Police continue to make inquiries to determine the circumstances of the crash.”
