Police are making inquires after a person arrived at Auckland’s Middlemore Hospital with what is believed to be a gunshot wound this afternoon.
The person arrived at the hospital around midday, a police spokesperson said.
“Inquiries are ongoing after a person arrived at Middlemore Hospital with an injury consistent with a gunshot wound.
“They are currently receiving medical attention and are in a moderate condition.”
At this stage, there were few details on how the person came to be injured.
“Police are working to piece together what occurred prior to them arriving at hospital.”
