Police searching for missing Christchurch woman Elisabeth ‘Lis’ Nicholls have narrowed their search area following a possible sighting on the night of her disappearance.
Elisabeth, 79, was last seen at the Chateau on the Park in Riccarton at around 6pm on June 4, and police and her family remain desperate to locate her.
Detective Sergeant Luke Vaughan said police have a possible sighting of Nicholls at the eastern end of Hagley Park, around the Park Tce and Salisbury/Montreal St areas around 8.25pm that night.
“We are appealing to anyone in this area in particular to please check your properties, and notify police of anything unusual.
“We are also continuing to appeal to people across Christchurch to please search your backyards, sheds and sleepouts, and look under anything where a person could seek shelter,” Vaughan said.
Anyone with CCTV was urged to review footage, especially if cameras were facing the street, from 8.20pm to 10pm on Wednesday, June 4.

“While Lis went missing in the Riccarton area, she is physically strong, and may have walked some distance,” he said.
Anyone with information should ring 111 immediately, or online and at 105 for non-urgent information.
