TVNZ has revealed the most-watched shows on its streaming service this year – with the 6pm news, Demi Moore’s The Substance and kids’ favourite Bluey proving top audience hits.
The most-streamed show on TVNZ+ is the broadcaster’s flagship 1News at Six, which has amassed 698,000 logged in viewers so far this year.
The Substance, The Rookie, Rogue Heroes and Bluey round out the top five.
In total, TVNZ+ has reached 2.17 million viewers, who have collectively engaged with 205 million minutes of content each week.
Demi Moore’s Golden Globe-winning performance secured the second spot and reached 251,300 viewers.
Premium dramas such as Rogue Heroes and The Day of The Jackal were also viewer favourites.
Other international titles which remain highly popular include Protection, Bergerac, The Hardacres, The Crow Girl, Code of Silence, and Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, all of which have made it on to the Top 20 list.
The best-performing local shows include NZ cricket, Shortland Street, Hyundai Country Calendar and Off the Grid with Colin and Manu.
TVNZ+ Sports Hub has proved popular with cricket fans, with BlackCaps and White Ferns matches reaching 402,800 viewers.
Bluey is the most-watched children’s show, with 21.4 million streams this year.
TVNZ interim chief news & content officer Brent McAnulty said he was enthusiastic about the platform’s achievements.
