One person has been moderately injured after reportedly being hit in the head during a robbery at a vape shop in Auckland’s Mount Albert this morning.
Police said the robbery at a commercial premises on New North Rd was reported at around 10.10am on Saturday.
“Inquiries are ongoing to locate those involved.”
A local business owner, who asked to remain anonymous, told 1News a car drove up on the footpath in front of the shop.
“Many offenders got out and robbed the store.”
He said that someone tried to stop them, but they were hit on the head and began to bleed “profusely”.
“The injured man walked across the street and sat down in front of the shop next to the superette.”
Hato Hone St John said crews were notified but were stood down by police and weren’t required to attend.
