Paisley Park was Prince property, located in Chanhassen, a 20-minute drive outside of downtown Minneapolis in Minnesota. It’s more than just a structure; it’s a musical sanctuary and a symbol of Prince’s creative genius.
The $10 million, 65,000-square foot mansion was completed in 1987 and served as Prince’s residence, recording studio, and concert venue. It was designed by architect Bret Thoeny, with Prince’s own artistic flare added in for good measure.
As you walk around inside Paisley Park, you can see how the space was intricately crafted to reflect Prince’s artistic style, with plush purple furnishings and quirky artwork at every turn.
Paisley Park is not just a beautifully designed home that pays homage to Prince’s artistic style, but it’s also a living museum. Visitors can get a glimpse into the enigmatic world of one of the most influential figures in music and preserve the legacy of an iconic artist.
Although Prince has passed away, the three-story purple house still remains property of the Prince and is managed by Graceland Holdings, with the blessing of Prince’s family. This is the same company who manage Elvis’s property, Graceland, in Memphis.
