European leaders and business representatives have flocked to Dubai today for one of the world’s biggest global gatherings. Some 150 governments are there, alongside 500 ministers, all meeting to consider how governments can adapt and innovate in a changing world.

Euronews’ EU news editor Maria Tadeo is also in Dubai for the occasion. She’s with Mathias Cormann, OECD Secretary General, who joins us for an interview.

Back in Belgium, Mario Draghi has fired a warning shot to EU leaders. Speaking at a ceremony at the University of Leuven yesterday, the former Italian prime minister said EU countries should not be afraid of integrating at different speeds, if that’s what it takes to gain leverage on the world stage. Euronews correspondent Stefan Grobe followed the speech for us and joins us to break it down.

Then we travel to France. After months of political deadlock, Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu had to use a constitutional provision to force it through and managed to survive two no-confidence votes to do so. For more, we cross to Paris to speak to our France correspondent Sophia Khatskensova.

And lastly, we look at why the value of gold just took a nosedive, along with silver too. While prices tumble, Europeans are still buying—and in huge quantities. Jakub Janas reports.

When and where to watch Europe Today?

You can join Euronews’ chief anchor Méabh Mc Mahon and our EU editor Maria Tadeo live on TV and Euronews’ website and digital platforms every weekday.

Our new format brings you the day’s key events plus crucial analysis of all the stories shaping the EU and beyond. It’s also available as a newsletter and podcast.
