A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Rotterdam after two people were injured in a series of stabbings.

According to Rotterdam police, two “random” male victims were stabbed on Saturday morning on Schaepmanstraat and Marconiplein to the west of the city centre.
One victim was taken to hospital while the other was treated by paramedics at the scene, the force said.
Another stabbing attempt took place around 30 minutes later at the Brug Van Cyrene bridge in the city’s northwest, per the police statement.
“A single suspect, who is believed to have been travelling by car, is involved in the stabbings,” it added.
