Andy Summers, guitarist for The Police, has announced he will be doing three shows in New Zealand, offering fans an “intimate” evening of guitar, stories and photography.
“The Cracked Lens + A Missing String” events will be heading to Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland in late September and early October.
“As a celebrated author and photographer with recent exhibitions in France, The Cracked Lens + A Missing String offers fans a fantastic and intimate evening with Andy playing guitar(s), including The Police classics, and sharing stories along with his celebrated photographic work he’s taken over the years,” promotion for the shows said.
“This multimedia show gives fans a great insight into his work and a moment with a legend.”
The first show will be on September 19 at the Opera House in Wellington.
Next, he will move to the James Hay Theatre, Christchurch, on September 20.
Summers will conclude the tour at the Auckland Town Hall on 17 June.
Pre-sales to the shows begin today, with all remaining seats being available to the public on Monday, 17 June at 9am.
Ticket prices start at $99 and will be available from Ticketek and Ticketmaster.
