A man was taken to hospital in a moderate condition after he was found in an Auckland Harbour early this morning.
Police were called to Queen’s Wharf at about 4.50am, where officers were able to throw the man a life ring and pull him to safety as the police Eagle helicopter kept watch from above.
Hato Hone St John — who responded with one ambulance, one rapid response unit, and one manager — took the man to Auckland City Hospital in a moderate condition.
