Police are investigating after a staff member at an Auckland bar had a gun pulled on them during an aggravated robbery yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Friend said a man entered the bar in Royal Oak around 12.30pm on Wednesday and “engaged with a staff member”.
“During a transaction, he has presented what is believed to be a firearm at the staff member.”
The offender stole cash from the till and ran away.
“Fortunately, the victim did not suffer any injuries but was understandably shaken after the incident occurred,” Friend said.
Police conducted area patrols after the incident occurred but were unable to find the offender.
“At this stage, the offender remains outstanding.”
Anyone with information that may assist inquiries is asked to contact police.
