ANZ Bank app, website outage resolved

ANZ says an outage that affected its app and website has been resolved.

Thousands of ANZ customers reported yesterday afternoon that they were unable to access the bank’s app and website

According to outage tracking site DownDetector, reports of service disruptions began around 2.30pm.

Users attempting to log in received an error message stating the app was “temporarily unavailable”.

“Please hang tight, or come back later, while we fix this for you,” the message read.

ANZ said some customers had been experiencing intermittent issues logging into goMoney and Internet Banking.

In an update this morning, the bank said “we are happy to report that the outage with goMoney and Internet Banking has been restored”.

“We know this was a significant disruption for our customers and we apologise for the impact this had.

“Service has been restored, we’re aware a large number of customers are logging in to goMoney and this may mean some customers experience a delay in accessing the app.”

The morning’s headlines in 90 seconds, including Luxon meets Trump, a big payday on the way for farmers, and a message in a bottle from World War 1 washes up. (Source: 1News)
