A person has been airlifted to hospital after a car crashed down a 25m bank near Shingle Creek in Central Otago, police say.First responders were called to the single-vehicle crash, between Waikaia Bush Rd and Eliot Rd, at about 7.15am. Whangārei police are appealing for information from the public after a crash on SH1 in Oakleigh last night. Police were called to the two-vehicle crash at around 5.40pm. One vehicle was towing a trailer, according to police. Police are continuing to investigate a “serious incident” in the Bay of Plenty that left one person dead and another injured yesterday afternoon.Emergency services were called to the intersection of Flax and Matatā Roads around 3.50pm after reports that two people had been injured by a third person while inside a vehicle.
