Aaron Drever had his real estate licence cancelled in 2016, when the Real Estate Authority said the “public needs to be protected from him”. Graham Bell, the straight-talking veteran police officer who became a household name as the host of Police Ten 7, has died following a battle with cancer. BNZ has lowered some of its fixed mortgage rates ahead of tomorrow’s expected cut to the OCR.Standard 6-month rate, two-year and three-year rates all dropped by 10 basis points, to 4.89%, 4.65% and 4.85% respectively. Its 18-month rate fell 26 basis points to 4.49%. The one-year rate, which was earlier cut to 4.49% in line with other banks, did not change. Nor did the four-year (5.09%) or five-year standard (5.39%) rates. The new rates were effective from today. Police now believe multiple people were involved in an incident that led to the death of a 63-year-old in Wellington’s Miramar.Abdul Nabizadah, originally from Afghanistan, was found bleeding and unconsious with “unsurvivable” injuries to his head at 12.30pm on Monday, March 17 on Camperdown Road. Investigators believed Nabizadah was assaulted and robbed after being lured to the area in a “premeditated attack”. The only thing taken in the attack was his keys. WorkSafe inspectors will visit 1000 farms before the end of the year, focusing on the safety of quadbikes and other risks to prevent agriculture becoming the deadliest sector in New Zealand again. MetService says thunderstorms are sparking along an active frontal band of rain as it quickly pushes northwards across the North Island this morning. The forecaster observed 482 lightning strikes in the vicinity of the front during a three-hour window from 4am to 7am.”These thunderstorms may produce brief heavy rain and strong wind gusts of 90 to 110 km/h.
