A “crime hypothesis” of culpable shipwreck and manslaughter has been launched after a luxury superyacht sunk off the coast of Sicily earlier this week. A large building fire at a small settlement between Whakatāne and Murupara has required the efforts of multiple brigades in the region to extinguish.Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) spokesperson said multiple calls were received around 1am, reporting a single-storey building on fire at Waiōhau.
