A commercial fishing vessel has run aground at The Noises, in the Hauraki Gulf.
Police told Newshub it was notified about the commercial fishing vessel about 5.35am on Tuesday.
There are no reports of injury.
The Police Eagle helicopter was at the scene.
It’s understood a pair of tug boats are on their way to The Noises to help recover the vessel.
An Auckland Transport spokesperson said they had spoken with the Harbourmaster who was inbound to Auckland.
“There are 27 crew on board and they are all safe. The Harbourmaster’s team is onsite at the moment and two tug boats are on the way to remove the vessel. This will likely take place at 1:30pm today during high-tide.”
Auckland Transport said it had not identified any oil spillage.
More to come.
