Seth Binzer, singer of Crazy Town who had the smash hit Butterfly, has died aged 49.
Also known as Shifty Shellshock, the LA medical examiner certified that his death took place on June 24.
No cause was given.
His publicist Kelly Springer told CNN he was a “courageous fighter”.
“So full of talent, light, compassion, love and grace. He will be missed by so many. He was one of those souls that was magnetic. We will miss you Seth. We are heart broken. Thank you for your talents and contributions to our music industry. We were all blessed to have had you.”
Rap rock group Crazy Town soared in the early 2000s on the back of Butterfly, which went to number one in the US singles chart.
He had been open with his struggles with substance abuse in the past.
