Multiple crews responded to a fire in Auckland overnight.
Emergency services were called to the commercial building in Albany at around 9.50pm.
Ten crews from East Coast Bays, West Harbour, Greenhithe, Auckland City, Te Atatu, Silverdale, Avondale, Otahuhu, Manly, Albany, RNZAF Base Auckland F5204, and Devonport responded to the blaze.
“On arrival, FENZ found the 20 by 20 metre building well involved in fire,” a Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson said.
Crews spent the next few hours working to put out the flames. The fire was extinguished, and crews left the scene at around 1.30am.
“There were no reports of injuries, or if it is suspicious.”
Emergency services were called to a second fire at a nearby location this morning.
A FENZ spokesperson told 1News it arrived at a property on Eastbourne Road at 7.35am, where a fire was located beneath a building.
Two crews were in attendance, and the fire was extinguished. A fire investigator is on the way on the scene.
“The fire is not considered suspicious at this stage, though the cause is unclear.”
