E-scooter rider punched woman in Auckland park, police seeking CCTV

A male riding an e-scooter punched a woman in the stomach in an Auckland park earlier this month.

Detective Senior Sergeant Anthony Darvill said a report was made on November 4 after the incident in Grey Lynn Park.

The woman was hit in the stomach by a male who was part of a group of four riding e-scooters at the time.

“At this stage we are making further inquiries into the report, including canvassing for any CCTV footage in the area at the time the assault occurred,” he said.

“Police ask anyone in the area at the time who has information about the assault, or those involved, to contact us.”

He said the incident occurred around 6.45pm on the day.
