The US president has said Iran will ‘pay a huge price’ and has encouraged Iranians to topple the regime. In just a few days, thousands have been arrested, some face execution, and hundreds are reported dead.

With this scenario, the European Union is preparing further sanctions on Iran following the ongoing brutal crackdown on protesters. Maria Tadeo, our EU Editor, reports on the latest, including an exclusive interview with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola on Iran, the protests, and what’s next.

We are also at the NATO HQ in Brussels with our reporter Shona Murray, filling us in on recent developments on Greenland. US Vice President J.D. Vance and other US officials are meet with Danish counterparts in Washington today to discuss Greenland. The talks come amid ongoing fears that President Donald Trump is insisting the United States must acquire the territory.

Then, former EU Commissioner for Trade and ex-Director General of the World Trade Organisation Pascal Lamy joins us live in our studio. He is one of Europe’s most influential voices on global trade and multilateralism. Today, he is still very active in public life as vice president of the Paris Peace Forum and as the coordinator of the Jacque Delors institute.

When and where to watch Europe Today?
