Five people have been injured after a crash in Canterbury.
Police received a report of a single-vehicle crash on Browns Rd, Eyrewell Forest, at around 10.25am.
Hato Hone St John said three people were seriously injured, while two others were moderately injured.
The injured were taken to Christchurch Hospital by ambulance and by helicopter.
St John had responded with three ambulances, one rapid response unit, one manager, and two helicopters.
The road was blocked for a period of time while emergency services attended but was now clear.
Police are making inquiries into the circumstances of the crash.
