Four young people have been arrested after an aggravated robbery at a dairy in Lower Hutt yesterday.
Police said the incident happened on on Meremere Street in Wainuiomata at around 7.50pm.
The group allegedly entered the store, taking a number of items and assaulting an employee before leaving in a stolen vehicle.
Police dog units tracked the group to a nearby property where they were all taken into custody.
“One youth is expected to appear in Hutt Valley District Court in the coming week charged with aggravated robbery and the appropriate action for the others is being considered,” police said.
