Police are making inquiries following the “unexplained” death of a person in a Northland forest this afternoon.
The body was discovered in Waipoua Kauri Forest.
The death is being treated as “unexplained” at this stage of the investigation.
“The death will be referred to the coroner, and at this stage, it is not being treated as suspicious,” a police spokesperson told 1News.
