British celebrities Sir Cliff Richard and Noel Edmonds have reunited in New Zealand, sharing laughs as they joked about their ages.

“It’s Monday, November 17 in Wellington, and at last I get to see you again after all these years”, exclaimed Edmonds in a video shared to his Instagram account.

“I know, it’s been too long, I mean, a hundred years separating us is unbelievable,” Sir Cliff joked back in the video,

Edmonds went on to confirm, “It was 25 years ago that you were on my Christmas Day show… So I wanted to come and say thank you. But I then started to do some mathematics — and we have a combined age of 161”.

Sir Cliff, who is 85, said: “Oh my goodness me. I didn’t know that you were older than me!” in a nudge at Edmonds, who is his junior at 76.

Sir Cliff is in New Zealand for his Can’t Stop Me Now tour.

He played Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre in Auckland on Friday and Saturday, before taking the stage in the capital last night.

He sold out Christchurch’s Town Hall venue ahead of performing there on Wednesday, his last stop in New Zealand.

Sir Cliff’s visit coincides with a much longer residency from Edmonds.

He has been in New Zealand since 2018, managing a Motueka-based hospitality venture, River Haven, with his partner Liz.

Edmonds’ experience managing the establishment and struggles against the realities of small town life, New Zealand’s wild weather, and unpredictable conditions are chronicled in his new show Noel Edmonds’ Kiwi Adventure.

The show features Edmonds leading a vineyard, coffee-cart, general store, restaurant and pub while simultaneously sharing his spiritual views, navigating romance with “earth-angel” Liz, and fighting international and local media criticism around staff treatment.
