Police are investigating after a Northland man received facial injuries during a home invasion yesterday evening.
Police allege three offenders “forced entry into the house, assaulted the victim and took off with items” at a residential property in Te Kamo, on the outskirts of Whangārei.
The victim received facial injuries in the incident at around 8.50pm and was treated by St John ambulance staff, police said.
“He is extremely shaken by what has occurred and is being supported.”
Hato Hone St John said they responded to the incident with one ambulance. The man, who was in a moderate condition, did not require hospitalisation.
Northland police are now investigating, and ask anyone with information to contact police on 105.
