One person was critically injured in a stabbing at a house in south Auckland on Monday night, police say.
Police said officers subsequently arrested a man near the scene in Papakura “without incident”.
One person was injured and taken to the hospital. Police said the victim had injuries “consistent with stab wounds” and was in a critical condition.
“At around 7:30pm, police received a report of wilful damage at a Parker St address,” the spokesperson said. “At 11:38pm, police were notified by ambulance staff that a man had been injured at the same property.
“A man was arrested at a nearby Hunua Rd address without incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
