Police seek man who may hold ‘crucial’ information on Dunedin death

Police investigating the death of a man in north Dunedin have located a man they believe could have “crucial” information in an effort to identify him.

A 36-year-old man was found dead at a Great King St address at around 2pm on October 3.

Detective Sergeant Reece Munro said police believed the man they sought might have “valuable information” that could assist in the homicide investigation.

“While we have no reason to believe this man had any involvement in this matter, we are eager to speak with him as he may have crucial information.”

A 25-year-old man has been charged with murder and was remanded in custody. He was due to reappear in the Dunedin District Court on December 16.
