Police are searching for a 34-year-old man who is subject to an arrest warrant and is deemed a risk to the public.
Police said Redmond Huirua is wanted for wounds with intent to commit grievous bodily harm and burglary.
“He has links to Bay of Plenty,” police said in a statement.
“Huirua is a risk to the public and should not be approached.”
Police said if anybody has seen Huirua or have information which may assist in locating him to contact them via 105 or online.
