Six men have been arrested and more than $250,000 worth of goods seized after police hit the operations of an organised crime group in Wairarapa.
Detective Senior Sergeant Philip Skoglund said half a kilogram of methamphetamine and “packaging consistent with dealing methamphetamine” was located and seized, along with thousands of dollars in cash.
Four vehicles, a motorcycle, and a jet ski were seized by the police asset recovery unit, believed to be worth more than $250,000.
Skoglund said the arrests were the result of an operation targeting an organised criminal group in the Wairarapa area.
“The six men arrested were at three addresses in Masterton, Martinborough and Carterton,” he said.
The alleged offenders were due to appear in Masterton District Court today facing charges of “participating in an organised criminal group and possession of methamphetamine for supply”.
“Police have not ruled out further arrests in relation to this matter.”
