Two people have been seriously injured following a crash in Waikato this morning.
Police were notified of the two-vehicle crash on Te Aroha-Gordon Rd at 11.30am.
“The serious crash unit has been advised and inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.”
St John said it responded to the crash with one first response unit, one ambulance, one rapid response unit, and one helicopter.
“Our crews assessed and treated two patients; one in a serious condition was airlifted to Waikato Hospital and one in a serious condition was transported to Waikato Hospital via road,” a spokesperson said.
The road has closed and diversions are being put in place.
