A woman who died in Wellington Hospital last week following a Boxing Day injury in Feilding has been named by police as they investigate the circumstances of her death.
She was Cavillie Maria Simeon, 57.
Detective Sergeant Rochelle Ross said Simeon was taken by ambulance to Palmerston North Hospital on December 27 after becoming unwell from an injury she suffered on Boxing Day.
“While in hospital, her condition deteriorated to the point where she became critically ill.”
Ross said the woman was transferred to Wellington Hospital where she died on December 29.
“Police extend our sympathies to her family and friends at this difficult time.”
